The Maquoketa Public Library project consists of an addition to an existing Carnegie Library.  The original structure is a two-story stone and brick building in the neo-classical style constructed in 1904.  The challenge was to design functional, flexible library space that complements the original Beaux-Arts building, while satisfying today’s needs and accommodating future developments.
